Surprise!

A week in review.
Last Thursday, Jaymeson had an adenoidectomy.
Surgery went well, he was sick from anesthesia but recovered quickly.
Marcus had bought cookies from the bakery on the morning of surgery
and Jaymeson couldn't wait to have one.
After vomiting several times, and warning him that the little cookie could come right back up,
I let him eat it as long as he had the puke bucket next to him.
I left him alone and returned to this.
That little cookie must have been just what the doctor ordered.
He was out until the next morning!
We are hoping there will be better breathing, better sleep, and less headaches for our boy.

The boys enjoyed Friday evening with this special lady and got their "Nana time" in.

My mom and I left early Saturday morning and flew out to Colorado.
We went and surprised my sis-in-law for her baby shower weekend.
Here she is seeing me!!
Couple minutes later, the door bell rang again.
And then, the door bell rang again!
Her mama came and surprised her too!
Priceless!

I got to see my nephew in 4-D!
And share the excitement on the day of the baby shower.
The poor kid didn't get anything. :)
It was a fast but fun trip.

Yesterday, I anxiously awaited my appointment.
I have been so sick this summer.
I have neglected the house,
the boys have eaten cold cereal for supper multiple times,
and I have lived to curl up and sleep.
I am hoping that the kids get their mommy back soon.
In the meantime, I am busy working on this.

Baby says, "Hi!"
Jaymeson has been hoping for a "sister baby".
And insistent that she be named "Abby".
("Because it's a beautiful name, Mommy")
The ultrasound technician was confident that this baby is a girl.
I cried.
Will look at the "goods" again at the next ultrasound,
I am just praying for healthy.

SWAGGER WAGON

I've switched to the dark side.
Well, maybe, just the "Mom" side.
That's right.
The first brand new vehicle that I purchase, with only 27 miles on it, is this.

It's a 2011 VW Routan, fully loaded, with all the bells and whistles.
If you don't have kids, you could care less what it features, and I'm officially not cool.
If you have kids, but don't have a van yet, you might be slightly jealous.
If you have kids, and have already switched to the "mom-mobile", you get it.
So, I may not be "cool" among my peers but my son thinks I'm SO cool.
That's what matters, right?
Marcus has been told that he is "officially demoted from the 'man club' now."
He vowed that the van was mine and would NOT be driving it.
However, it wasn't long before I noticed that the van would be missing from the driveway when he'd run places with the boys. Ha!!

My friend, Shannon, showed me this video and I thought it was hilarious.
The Swagger Wagon.
Sounds better than the "Mom-Mobile".
